At our church, we are committed to reaching the next generation with the life-transforming message of the Gospel. Every Friday, our dedicated team of intercessors embarks on a mission to primary and secondary schools across Lagos State and beyond. This initiative is not just about spreading the Gospel but about nurturing young hearts and minds to encounter God and His Word in a profound way.
Inspired by Jesus' command in Matthew 28:19-20 to "go and make disciples of all nations," our School Outreach program focuses on bringing the love of Christ into schools. We believe in equipping young minds with the knowledge of God and His Word, empowering them to live purposeful lives filled with faith and hope.
Each school visit begins with fervent intercessory prayer, seeking God's guidance and blessing upon our mission. As we step onto school grounds, we are ambassadors of Christ, filled with His love and compassion. Our approach combines heartfelt preaching of the Gospel with interactive sessions that engage students in discussions about faith, values, and the importance of a personal relationship with Jesus.
1. Preaching the Gospel: Following the example of Paul in Acts 20:27, "For I did not shrink from declaring to you the whole counsel of God," we boldly proclaim the Gospel to students. Through testimonies, Bible stories, and practical teachings, we aim to ignite a passion for God in their hearts.
2. Filled with the Holy Spirit: Acts 1:8 reminds us, "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses." We pray for and with students to experience the empowering presence of the Holy Spirit, equipping them to live as bold witnesses for Christ.
3. Healing and Transformation: In accordance with James 5:14-15, "Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up," we minister to students who are mentally, emotionally, and physically troubled. Through guided mentoring and prayer, we see lives healed and transformed by the power of God's Spirit.
4. Impact and Testimonies: We have witnessed miraculous healings, deliverances, and the restoration of broken hearts as students encounter the love of Jesus Christ. Through prayer, worship, and personal ministry, we create an atmosphere where students can experience God's presence and respond to His call.
